ADMISSION

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES Regarding the number of student's intakes, the university lays out a plan, which is submitted to the national admission office of the ministry of higher education, Science and Technology admission office responsible for admitting students to all national Universities. Student admission comes from three source; namely direct admission, private admission, and mature intake.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

A minimum admission requirement to all the colleges of the University is the South Sudan School Certificate or its equivalent. The aggregate for competition is counted as a percentage of passes in seven subjects all obtained at one and the same sitting, or as determined by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology Admission Committee. For all colleges of the university, a candidate must have at least passed in Arabic, English, Religious Studies and Elementary Mathematics. In addition to these four subjects, three subjects are required for calculating competition aggregate. For the Colleges of Medicine and Applied Industrial Sciences the three subjects are Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. For the College of Natural Resources and Envionmental Studies the three subjects include the best three out of Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Es. mal Studies. For Education, Science and Technology, and Agriculture the three subjects are taken as the best out of History, Geography, Biology, English Literature, Physics and Environmental Studies. PROCEDURE The National Admission Office from July -September each year makes available the application forms for admission to all national Universities. Admission forms, supplied by this Office are required to be returned after due filling accompanied with the original copies of certificates. Non-South Sudanese certificates are to be certified by the South Sudanese Embassies in the respective country abroad. The result of the admission is announced by the Admission Office and is sent to the various national Universities.
